We just love Carter's for its understated setting and reliably delicious food. It's a place that's great to meet a group of friends but just as welcoming if you are dining alone or just want a beer after work. Most evenings, the crowd is entertained by a great house band and on Fridays, eat brunch at the delicious and well priced Carter's Carvery.
In keeping with the theme of its location in the Wafi Pyramids building, Carter's has a dubious Egyptian theme with fake mummies in glass cases at the entrance, but otherwise, it is a lively venue radiating Asian colonial charm. Al fresco is a popular dining option during the hotter seasons and Carter's has a pleasant, shaded terrace for this purpose.
Carter's presents reliable, high-end bar food, featuring delicious international dishes including English favourites and gourmet cuisine in a casual and informal environment. Try the utterly tender lamb shanks, wok-tossed tiger prawns and a delicious grilled fillet of beef with goat's cheese mash potato.
